Rehabilitation

Our rehabilitation program is a critical piece of our clinical care strategy. Our goal is to accelerate healing and improve quality of life to the maximum extent possible. Our Physical and Occupational therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists incorporate the latest medical technology and methodology to enhance our resident’s recovery in the areas of wound healing, continence management, pain management, dysphasia, contracture management, and fall prevention.

Therapy, technology and equipment

Physical Therapy:

PT includes strengthening and retraining that will allow residents to become more independent with transfer techniques, walking, prosthetics, and mobility within the facility or at home and in the community. Physical therapy aims to limit a resident’s risk of falling, and increase safety upon discharge.

Occupational Therapy:

OT focuses on activities and training that promote independence and managing day-to-day living tasks (“ADLs”) such as bathing, grooming, dressing and eating skills. Occupational Therapists can also work with residents and their families to help them return to their hobbies and special interests.

Speech Therapy:

Speech Therapy evaluates a resident’s understanding and use of language, speech production, voice and swallowing ability.

Dementia/Cognitive Management & Rehabilitation:

If a loved one with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or a related dementia is in need of short-term rehabilitation, our facility has a special Alzheimer’s Unit designed to meet the specific rehabilitation needs of this population as well. All of our state-of-the-art technology is available to residents with dementia while living in a secure memory care area, creating a more comfortable environment for the resident, and providing peace of mind for family members.
